The marketing for MI:DR is also shit. Oppenheimer tickets on sale already. MI DR should have done an Oppenheimer and released tickets only for IMAX for that Wedsneday. I wouldn't be surprised by a severe underpeformance for MI:DR.

MI series is all about legs. They never had a big OW. SO Nolan taking all IMAX screens for three weeks is gonna hurt MI:DR legs.

My question is this: is IMAX  gonna be content with doing poorly (low income)  for a third week considering i doubt Oppenheimer can sustain a big performance in IMAX for three weeks?

I think DR will be a bit more frontloaded than other MI entries due to a much higher OW.

Legs won't last for only 3 weeks, DR will claw back IMAX in August. Remember how long TGM had IMAX for.

BTW I can imagine DR splitting shows with Oppenheimer. The deal means you have to show the Nolan flick for 3 weeks minimum, but doubt there would specific showtimes related agreement in place. Oppenheimer skews a bit older as well, so it can have matinees and DR getting main eve.

Love how some random rag has all this incredibly detailed insider information. it's almost as if someone made it all up for clicks.

Every time Cruise has a movie out some bullshit story gets put out cause people know his name draws attention.

Just push this up to july 7 and let it put indiana jones out of its misery sooner and also secure an extra week of IMAX. Everyone wins.

I don't think it's possible because ...Disney.  Plus, how much do you expect Indy to make second weekend?

If Disney has already locked in screens for Indiana Jones' second weekend, couldn't they move MI up to a Monday opening instead of Wednesday? Do a 7 day opening weekend?

Spider-Man: Far From Home did a 6 day opening weekend so it's not unprecedented.
