Part 2 is going to be an absolute action onslaught for 2.5 hours. The way Cruise talks about it is like he knows thats the movies he'll be remembered for. I've never seen him be so happy about a movie still in production, he must he really confident in it.

The Mummy being right in the middle of the McQ/Cruise run, after Edge of Tomorrow & Rogue Nation but before Fallout and Maverick, makes it such an odd monstrosity. Just a completely unlovable disaster stuffed in the middle of some of the most crowd-pleasing and beloved big budget movies of recent memory

I don’t get why you’re so certain about it collapsing in China when Guardians 3 didn’t dip that much more than Guardians 2.

Guardians was never a behemoth in China. It’s unreasonable to expect MI7 to be the only franchise to not decrease somewhat in China

Imagine if it was even watchable and not just a turgid, dog-shit train-wreck. If it was McQ-level good, then the Dark Universe would have been MCU levels big.

Even so, you make it sound like it’s gonna totally collapse and not just decrease by 20 million or something
