The finale to the American Dragon trilogy opened at the high end of expectations at $90.8 million, thanks to strong reviews and positive word of mouth from audiences who gave the film an A cinemascore.

Homebound received a B+ cinemascore and Of Pagans and Paupers received an A-.

The follow-up to the Oscar-nominated ‘Hollow Vale’, ‘Never Far from the Queen’ opened to an incredibly strong $101.9 million. The film received an A- from audiences. Meanwhile ‘The Winter Star’ made $15.6 million and received an A cinemascore.

While it wasn’t able to take the top, ‘Olive the Other Reindeer’ still made a considerable amount over the Thanksgiving weekend, racking in $81.4 million in its first 5 days. Thanks to universal praise from both critics and audiences alike, the latter giving the film an A cinemascore, the film should play well over the holidays. Meanwhile, ‘Lieutenant Lynx’ opened to $12.9 million for its 5 day opening. The film received a C- from audiences

I mean, that's how it was done last year too. Only the new films were given their 5 day openings since they opened on that Wednesday.

 

To each their own I guess. Whenever I did actuals I always included the 4-day or 5-day for all films over a particular holiday weekend.

I do so too, and tbh I got kinda annoyed when Alpha didn't give me 5-days for the Y1 holdovers since I couldn't make top 10 calculations.
