Not sure if it feels cheap, if the editing of the trailer feels off, but it almost feels like a knock-off of the first film rather than a sequel. Regardless of how bad The Nun was, it had excellent atmosphere and production values. This does feel like the budget was either slashed or the director/DP don't have as strong a visual sensibility for this type of film.
