SchumacherFTW
Interstellar is gonna sell out Leicester square tonight. Only place in the country to see it tonight though, so not the fairest sign. If it sells out tomorrow we're in good shape though.
Heretic
It's already about half full for tomorrow, definitely see it selling out.

Then that is a very good sign, at least that it's PTA will be top heavy, but I can see people being big on it regardless of whether they see it in IMAX or not. Jonwo
This year there hasn't been a big break out hit but lots of mid sized hits which is good considering the film line up hasn't been as strong and the World Cup was a factor
Heretic
IMAX showings were absolutely packed tonight, as expected. As for standard shows, some cinemas seemed pretty busy (vue westfield had a few sold out shows this evening, 10pm will follow suit.), while others were quite quiet. Don't know what to expect for OD, hopefully rth has some numbers for us later. Hoping for at least $2.5m. Heretic
As expected. Solid.
Heretic
Daytime business is much stronger today from what I'm seeing, £2m+ Saturday should be doable.
Jonwo
Looks a £5m+ OW rather than £6m still good considering the length.
Heretic
Inception had £5.9m opening, Gravity had a £6.2m 4 day opening, £5.6m Fri-Sun. Interstellar should do somewhere from £5-5.5m, so just under. £20m is definitely possible, but I can't see it reaching £30m like Inception and Gravity did. SchumacherFTW
Saw interstellar this afternoon and it was just under half full. I think people liked it, from what I heard. At the same time, Mr Turner got out from another screen. That was fucking rammed! And all the oldies were gushing like crazy. That is going to have a Loooooooooong run.
Heretic
So Interstellar's official OD was $2.4m, and with the Thursday previews at Leicester Square, its total is $2.6m. That's about £1.6m. Wouldn't surprise me if if today is around £2.4-5m to get it to £4m ($6.4m)
PhilipJ2001
We've done pretty well with Interstellar but have done better with Mr Turner

Jonwo
We've done pretty well with Interstellar but have done better with Mr Turner Mr Turner has been a success story although it does have Timothy Spall as JMW Turner and Mike Leigh directing. I wouldn't be surprised if it cracks £1m this weekend. I wonder why they didn't go wide straight away Edited November 8, 2014 by Jonwo
