Imo a record breaking Saturday would be more impressive then its opening day.However a 50 million dollar day is very very large....I am thinking 47-50.A 50 million Satruday ensures a weekend gross around 150 million.Shawn what do you think the Saturday is?All signs point it being huge but I am having a hard time thinking it can match Spiderman 3 record considering the type of film this is...

50 million saturday means that it is on track to challenge TDK's OW. If it has the same Saturday-Sunday %age drop as TDK, it will comfortably finish ahead. Edited March 25, 2012 by TLK

Some theaters are way up from yesterday.Today the crappy theater in town put this film on 4 screens after putting it on 3 screens yesterday and adding a 4th one in the evening.Even so the film has recorded 4 sellouts for the night and thats the most sellouts I have ever seen for that theater.My theater has 4 sellouts for tonight up from 3 from last night.I am quite conflicted over what is actually going on...

Yes, but Saturday increases tend to be much stronger as well. If this increases by >10% then yes, we'll probably see a large dip. However, if this stays flat, or even decreases, that weakens the Sunday dip.It can't not follow the rules one day, and then go back to performing like normal the next. Either one or the other has to happen. If Saturday is ~50 million, it will have a softer Sunday drop than a typical film. Edited March 25, 2012 by spizzer

I know but it is behaving like a summer movie and it is selling out saturday shows hours in advance which means the demand is there for it to have a big day on Sunday. I am not going to bet any money on a massive Sunday but we can't rule it out either.
