charlie Jatinder
$110M+ OW expecting. Let's see. Full run may do $480M without China. China may be $100-125M, so $580-600M possible. Domestic possibly $175-225M, so about $755-825M WW expecting. 1 1

Let's go. 700m is the floor IMO, should take over Fast9 as highest grossing Hollywood(?) film. As long as WoM doesn't tank.. haha. Then no one should surpass it in terms of Calendar year; NWH will need Jan's gross to beat it IMO.

Since Western box office is in almost full recovery and Exchange rates are good, NTTD is hardly losing anything to CoVID. I won't be surprised with Venom 2 crossing it if China gather $300M though. NWH should be over $1B before New Year quite easily. 1

Ah i thought NWH was releasing Christmas weekend; it was a week before. Yeah. Probably easily 800m by 1st Jan even if WoM tanks.. the hype is very strong. Venom 2 we will see; China is the key here to see whether it can beat NTTD worldwide plus OW domestic will give some hints. I do know that there are GA who still can't distinguish MCU films against Marvel films from other studios - so the hype for Spiderman might help Venom IMO. We will see; haven't seen a big budget HLW film open in China in the mid of December before. Aquaman was closest for 1st week of Dec, and it basically dominated the whole Dec in China. (Was supposed to be Alita but it pulled out). We will see - i hope Sony is smart enough if given the option of an earlier release date in China vs rest of the world; if WoM is good, it can chuck along nicely from early Dec till 1st week of Feb 2022 before CNY.
Valonqar
F10 is a toast by the look of it, so Spectre should be the next target.

But I guess good to see that people are so excited about the numbers that they are asking for OD numbers even before the evening starts. 😅

Generally in most markets you will have midnight shows numbers by now but UK public reporting of numbers is limited, so nothing is there till we get opening day numbers.
