The same long range as The Batman (which was 50M, 135M to 185M 3 week before release) and The Batman debuted at the minimum range, now I'm nervous about the The Flash...

Could be a double edge sword situation though if the reviews don't reflect the "greatest comic book movie ever" marketing stunt

its likely most of the ticket sales are for Imax/PLF and that too in big cities like NYC/LA/SF etc. 

 

That said I dont know why Disney started presales so early. Selling under 500 tickets a day across so many shows means most places its selling nothing.

Na, even that wouldn't explain it.  The average ticket price would have to be higher than the highest priced tickets.  I think it's just a seasonal change in ticket prices that will unfortunately get retroactively applied to older tickets in my tracking data.

 

EDIT:

Yeah, I just checked for Indy 5, which had no new shows added yesterday.  The average ticket price for all shows (not sold, just available) was $15.38 on Wednesday and $15.69 on Thursday.

Unlike Indy, Flash with shorter PS cycle means D2/D3 holds are much better. Zack has not covered a few imax shows on 6/12. That has sold about 3200 seats with minimal growth expected as most shows are almost full.

how is that possible. If I have already booked the tickets at some rate, they cannot come back and ask for more money.

I think so. Barring a catastrophic final week, 40m should happen.

Wednesday's numbers are much better than I imagined, I think there can still be a good improvement in them since many tickets should be sold with the approach, in addition to the promotion increasing in the week next to the release

 

I trust a weekend Close to 70m

I don’t think they care, a fresh score will do.

 

What they don’t want is to risk pulling an Indiana Jones and having a green splat and bad reviews for 6 weeks before release.

I think 50m+ opening is doable if it has solid bumps over the next week.

I think anything is possible. Next week the focus will be on Spiderverse. That is looking really good. Today its going to increase again from yesterday for sure. So I am not expecting major acceleration unless we get reactions/reviews for Transformers.
