On another note, I just looked at September's schedule after Are You There God? It's Me Margaret just got pushed to 2023 and here's what it looks like now:

 

September 2: Three Thousand Years of Longing (Wednesday the 31st), Spider-Man: No Way Home Special Edition, Jaws Re-Release

September 9: Salem's Lot

September 16: The Woman King

September 23: Don't Worry Darling, Avatar Re-Release

September 30: Bros, Smile

 

One really can't blame studios (other than for relegating pretty much anything that isn't a tentpole to streaming only) for so many re-releases when there isn't a whole lot incoming to theaters. At least the continued light schedule means good legs for the summer holdovers.

I don't think we'll get to $1m. Maybe $750k after factoring in children's tickets

Mountain update.  Went from 1,684 to 2,118 in final 4 hours on 18 shows (missing about 30 mins of Harkins to be added in after all shows close).  Total up to $255k + ~$350k from MTC1 & 2.  $600k at full price just missing PST final five hours of sales.

PST shows went from 3,508 to 4,829 in final 5 hours in 44 shows.  Will get Harkins final numbers, but for now:

Gross: $280,886

MTC1 & MTC2 last update: $350k 

 

Maybe $650k full price after final walkups from MTCs and unreserved shows.  Discounted tickets take it down to around $600k maybe

According to variety . It's production budget is 200m.

 

Gonna need to take in some good cash (500M+) to be a success if that's true.

Most Pixar movies are around the 200M budget mark. They don't do any outsourcing and they boast some of the most expensive CGI technologies out there for their movies.
