They can squeeze some more juice from Jurassic if they reduce those crazy real budgets, but after 1-2 flicks with the same level of quality it's done for a decade.

Jurassic movies budget range from 160-180 million.

Avatar, Star Wars, Avengers, Deadpool and Captain America

Star Wars and Marvel are damaged brands... Avatar is the only saving grace they have right now.

Let's be real: the soft opening overseas for Mermaid is obviously the work of the one and only Mena Massoud!

Man's not really getting any acting offers so he's turned to box office voodoo instead. Pray he doesn't get his hands on the movies you're rooting for.

Disney fairy tale movies are being made by people who have no idea what fairy tales and their meanings are.

Lmao.

Ya'll are super mad about not seeing little people clown their disability for your children's entertainment.

TLM's internal multiplier is closer to SOLO's than ALADDIN's. :sadwillie:

I caught a lot of flak for saying that yesterday... Feels good to be vindicated.

Are they even having dwarves in it? And I think I read that there's no prince in it. If true, it's gonna be ugly!!!

Don't forget the lack of dwarfs. That movie is dead.

They are making a Snow White movie ...

WITHOUT the dwarfs??

What?

Hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to work we go...

Yeah, I didn't know they skipped the 7 dwarves for the movie.  Now that I do, add me to the club that is expecting a financial bomb.  I mean, who watches Snow White and doesn't love the dwarves?  They are the best characters of the classic animated movie!

lack of dwarfs?? Wait what?

35 minutes ago, screambaby said:

Yeah I remember somewhere the rumor (at the time) they weren't casting dwarves cause it was offensive to little people and the little people l e said  'so you want to take jobs away from us?'

30 minutes ago, Killimano3 said:

I mean I understand why the dwarfs could be offensive, but I feel like instead of deleting them it would have been a better fix to just... Improve how they're represented in the movie?

This will be the narrative the usual suspects post on social media when it comes to release time. Therefore, it’ll be an uphill battle. They can’t win.

Employ the dwarves: this is inappropriate/offensive.

Don’t have dwarves: where are the jobs for dwarves?

Magical creatures - lmao. Appalling.
Zegler will probably be great, but if there’s not seven dwarfs then it’s not Snow White. Simple as that. What are they doing over there? I can’t believe this to be true??

Guys, this is not even remotely true.

If you check Wikipedia for five seconds, there’s an actor for Grumpy listed.

Said actor also confirmed this. Please do research before you jump to conclusions. Thank you!

So, Guardians 3 will win the summer??????????

Worldwide?

Quite possibly.

Domestically?

Probably also.

June is going to be a bloodbath.

July has nothing with 900+ million dollar potential.  Maybe MI7 has an outside shot.

If Guardians 3 numbers is the highest this summer can manage that would be pretty disappointing.

Yes, true, but i don't see anything going higher. These summer movies will canibalize each other. How much is Guardians 3 projected to do in the end?

Forbes claimed recently that Universal lied about reported budgets and real production budgets for 2 Jurassic World sequels were in 300-400 mln range.

Forbes adds residual, interest, and participation money to the budget, whereas Deadline and Variety don't. So its budget figure comes out higher than what Deadline and Variety claim. I also once believed that Deadline and Variety lied and Forbes figures were correct, but that's not the case. Both the deadline and Forbes figures are correct.
