Newbie here and still learning but had to make an account to show my shock and awe at the (albeit early) trackings for JFAD. Shocking if this ends up in the mid-double digits after the first one was so massive.

As of last Friday, The Quorum had JOKER 2 at $95M - $104M for a 3rd week in a row..  If interest dips, so will the forecast.

I feel like we’re forgetting this was a sequel that even the biggest fans of the first film did not want. The first Joker’s novelty was that it was a one and done totally disconnected thing.

It got an A on CinemaScore, it was well liked.

General notion I've been getting from people I know since the jump, who aren't necessarily the best barometer for a movie like this, is that Joker had a good ending and they didn't really need to do a sequel.

This is doing fine for me, show count is a little low. Deadpool had more time to grow, but that would be less walk up-friendly + early presales frontloaded than this, so I think something around what the comp gives right now wouldn’t be surprising, but it’s really contingent on how effective marketing is, if it’s subpar this won’t open above the first one.
