code65536
What I read is that MGM spent $30M to produce, and LGF snapped it up for 12 (sorry, I forgot where I had read the $30M, but IIRC, it was a news article, not a fansite).
Deep Wang
Sorry, I was taking a jab at Cocho who has been absent. She would NEVER own up to this being successful even if it did make $100m. I fully expect her to be back if this drops more than 60% this weekend.
Ariadne
THG's streak of consecutive days at #1 is the longest since The Sixth Sense. Release date or not, that is impressive.Wow, that's an amazing stat - its success has been insane.
baumer
THG's streak of consecutive days at #1 is the longest since The Sixth Sense. Release date or not, that is impressive. It's massively impressive. But is it longer than Avatar?EDIT:Avatar had 50 days at number 1, did it not? Am I missing something?Edit again...lol...Sherlock beat it for one day on it's opening weekend. But I don't think anything else did there after, so technically, Avatar is still ahead of it if you count from Saturday the 26th until February 14th.Last edit....forget it, you are right......Book of Eli beat it as well for one day....so THG is the champ. friendofnarnia
It's massively impressive. But is it longer than Avatar?Yep. I think Avatar had around 20 days.
Chewy
Didn't Avatar fall to #2 on SH's OD?
blackspider
Didn't Avatar fall to #2 on SH's OD?Yes, it had a steak of 7 until Sherlock Holmes beat it on its OD. Then Avatar was #1 for 20 days after that until Book of Eli beat it on its OD.
Robertron
Pretty decent hold for THG.. I'm still hoping for a small drop to around $14.5m this weekend, to try and keep $400m alive!
baumer
I'm seeing a 50% drop this weekend to about 11 mill.
lab276
Someone brought up Meet the Parents before, and it's not entirely impossible that it was number 1 for 28 days.
code65536
Someone brought up Meet the Parents before, and it's not entirely impossible that it was number 1 for 28 days.Well, BOM tweeted yesterday that 26 days was the longest since Six Sense. So either they forgot about Meet the Parents, or someone there knew that, despite the incompleteness of the data, it didn't manage that long a streak. Claire of Themyscira
My god! Look at mi Hunger Games!Lovely number. I want $15M+ this weekend, but I doubt it. Anything above the $13.5M would be great for me.
