riczhang Posted October 15, 2012 Share Posted October 15, 2012 Press Release from Arcturus Entertainment We are pleased today to announce that the entire cast, and crew have signed on for the 3rd and final instalment in our Divergent Franchise. Scheduled for release in Year 7 or 8. In the mean-time we are also announcing that the previous two films will be re-released in theatres over the next 2-3 years in IMAX 3D, but you'll also be able to catch the regular 2D, and non-IMAX options as well. Secondly, Joel and Ethan Coen have replaced Martin Scorsese as the director of Empty Hearth, and the film is currently in post-production, and will be rated by the MPAA within the next 2 weeks. Lastly, we regret to announce that because of script, and scheduling issues, Steven Daldry's new film Careful Laid Plans has been put on permanent hiatus, however we look forward to seeing this collaboration through with him, hopefully by year 7 or 8. Hiccup Posted October 21, 2012 Share Posted October 21, 2012 Unbalanced 2 Coming to Theaters It should be no surprise that Unbalanced got a sequel. The first film was the horror sensation of Year 4. It opened limited at 250 sites and with a 42,229 PTA generated a 10.6 million opening weekend and great word of mouth. The next weekend it went wide to 37.6 million over Presidents weekend. It finished with 101.2 million domestically and 138.2 million worldwide. And now the sequel returns to terrorize audiences on Friday the 13th. Director Ariel Schulman stated that Unbalanced 2 will be darker, more disturbing, and scarier than the first. The second film will be slightly different than the first. It will be made up of 4 stories instead of 6 however the stories will be longer and more developed. He said that he is taking into account the negative reviews the film received which mostly complained about the lack of a long build up of suspense. Casting has begun and we have the first scoop on who will play the Bond girls and the villain! Looking for the villain, rumored to be Ernst Blofeld, it seems to be a tough race between Mark Strong, Werner Herzog, Christoph Waltz, and Jude Law. The girl is rumored to be played by Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Emily Blunt, or perhaps a return by Emily Mortimer. The primary focus will be placed on Ezen, Welan, Zenta, and Arino's experiences before meeting Alex, and how they struggled, yet found hope, to save the universe. ChD Posted October 27, 2012 Share Posted October 27, 2012 (edited) Golden Age Films planning big releases for Year 6 In a recent interview with a Golden Age Films studio executive, we found out more about the future plans of the newly opened studio. The executive declared that there are currently three movies in production, all planned to hit theaters next year. He also declared that there are two movies that are waiting for the script to get green light and head into production as well, meaning that Year 6 might be seeing five movies from the new studio. That’s great news! But hold on… the executive told us a little bit more. “Four of five movies we’re planning to release will be major Oscar contenders.” He declared happily and then added, “We are surely going to win a few Oscars next year.” But wait…there’s more! The studio is also planning a new movie series, and they are also going to start shooting this year, meaning that we might see the first movie of the series next year. The first three movies are planned to be shot back to back, with a whooping budget of 525M. The executive didn’t say anything about directors or cast, but we started investigating and stumbled upon some rumors saying that the studio is negotiating with Peter Jackson, known for the Lord of The Rings trilogy, and David Yates, known for directing the last four Harry Potter movies. "Well we still had alot of things to do but in general it was a very emotional moment. Everybody was silent because all knew that we won´t shoot anymore and we are done with the production very soon. Are you satisfied with the final cut? "Yes of course, it took us a long time to cut the movie because we wanted it to be perfect for the fans. It´s the final so it had to be an epic end to this phenomenal series. And I think we´ve done it justice." What can you tell the fans, what should the expect? "Well, they can expect a truly epic ending to this adventure. We shot in 3D and we focused on using this technology in the right way. Now you can enjoy the story while having fun with the 3D when casts and blades flies to you. Or you just enjoy the incredible shots of nature we have in the movie. Alpha Posted October 29, 2012 Share Posted October 29, 2012 906 STUDIOS ANNOUNCES YEAR 6 AND 7 FILMS IN ADVANCE Even though Year 5 has not begun yet, 906 Studios is already beginning production on some Year 6 films, while also announcing films for Year 7. Robert Zeckemis' adaption of the video game Assasain's Creed has just begun filming for a release in spring of Year 6. 906 Studios hopes to adapt the full franchise with Zeckemis, though it will depend on the working conditions on the "first." Another annoucement was the as-of-yet-untitled Regular Show film, set for a May release in Year 6. Currently, Brad Bird (The Incredibles) is set to direct, while all of the original cast from the show is signed on. Set for a Year 7 spring release, The Throne of Fire, the sequel to the upcoming film The Red Pyramid, will be directed once again by Shawn Levy, though this time it will be written by Joss Whedon. The film's actual release will be determined by The Red Pyramid's performance (it's already in a tough spot against Hindenburg), but the teaser trailer is already gaining praise, so hopes are high at 906 Studios. Smaller annoucements were the action comedy Cop and Robber in summer Year 6, then The SCP Foundation for October Year 6, and finally Shipwreck At The Bottom of the World for an Oscar qualifying platform release in winter of Year 6. Quintel isn't exactly what I'd envision as a Hollywood director. That's why I'd use Brad Bird. He's great at animation and humor, both which a Regular Show movie would need. No offense to J.G, but... CJohn Posted October 29, 2012 Share Posted October 29, 2012 (edited) TOTAL EMPIRE PICTURES commences operations this year It was today that John Eriksson anounced that Total Empire Pictures will start producing movies with release dates planned for Year 5 and 6. John also talked about possible blockbusters for the coming years. "We have a few ideas that are not yet ready to be talked about". "Our plan is to release 7 or 8 movies a year, with 3 to 4 tentpoles divided between Spring, Summer and Christmas". John ended up saying that he is "really excited" and hopes to "grow into a bigger studio in the coming years". John talked with the journalists after the press conference, and the question were all about the future movies of the studio. John said that "we have no plans to release a tentpole in Year 5, which doesn't means that it is impossible for it to happens, but Year 6 will be big, you guys will be surprised". Some hours after this press conference, Sony announced that sold the rights of Resistance and The Last of Us to Total Empire Pictures, which means that we may see those two videogames adapted into movies in the next year. It is unlikely that The Last of Us will get in production so soon since the release date of the game is still unknown. Other rumors point to a possible new action movies franchise based on car racing, based on the videogame Burnout, but this is yet to be confirmed.
