Number 2 Production "Support" Group Opens Up

"A movie studio is shutting down! Let's save it by not going to their movies! That'll work...right? RIGHT!?"

And with this quote began a "Support Year 4 Movies For Number 2 Studios" group.

There are already over 5,000 members in the group on Facebook just in 5 hours & over 1,000 more combined on other social media sites. 6,000 supporters in all so far.

Their logic is sound and the people in the club claim they are the"true" Number 2 Production Fans.

Number 2 Production has left the media, fans & movie industry divided & in shock this week. We eagerly await a official response from them on the events that have happened since the sombre press release they did 1 day ago.

Not with that, but he himself brought up the protest and the idea that some illogical fans won't see their movies. Then again, he's doing actuals, so he can pretty much do whatever the heck he wants with these movies' grosses.

Press Release from Perseus Studios, Blankments Productions, and DC Entertainment

It causes us great sadness on the closing of Number 2 Productions. Whenever a company closes, especially one as established as this, it hurts the overall film industry, and our hearts. However, much like the heroes of The Flash, Booster Gold, and Martian Manhunter, we believe in being super, and it is not super to keep news away from the fans. We plead for the president of Number 2 Productions to share with the fans why it is closing, for they deserve to know why. Thank you.

-Edward Nadny, President of Blankments Productions

-David Hart, President of Perseus Studios

-David S. Goyer, President of DC Entertainment

CEO of Number 2 Productions announces O$corp Pictures!

A mist all the confusion regarding the shut down of Number 2 Productions, CEO of Number 2 Productions David White announced that Number 2 Productions is dead and will not return (still unknown why) however several people within the studio have officially decided to continue working with film and thus have created their own industry, O$corp Pictures. At first Marvel Studios was planning to launch a lawsuit against the newly created studio for using Marvel material in the title, however O$corp Pictures quickly changed the S to $ to, for now, silence Marvel's complaints. The studio has announced that they will hold on to the rights to all Number 2 Productions films except for The Bartimaeus Trilogy and The Fifty Shades of Grey series. Fans of The Bartimaeus Trilogy are very upset with this news and are pressuring the studio to purchase the rights. O$corp Pictures is planning to release their first film titled, "Society" next year somewhere in November. The film will be a tribute to 21st Century American society and a cautionary tale warning to future generations. The director and actors have been confirmed for the film yet.

I will state that it's funny that people in CAYOM apparently care so much about a studio that they're willing to protest it's closing. I can't imagine anyone in real life, except for maybe a couple loonies, protesting an actual studio's closure.(Oh and while you can keep all the rights you want Hiccup, technically O$corp would have no legal grounds to keep the franchises. It would have to buy all the rights. You still have them as a player and they transfer over to the studio, but a little nitpick on your press release.)

"Starcraft and Dragon Age Sequel Production Begins"

It wasn't too long ago that Silver Shark in an astonishing move sold the rights to its hit Starcraft franchise to Numerator Pictures for a bucket of chicken wings and a Bruce Lee autographed poster. Now we can say that the gears are in motion for the sequel to the Year 2 film that was the highest-grossing movie of the year. That film came out over the 4th of July weekend in Year 2 but for Year 5 Numerator Pictures is aiming for the Batman Release Date as the third weekend of July has become known as. No news on casting but we do know that the second film will be of a more epic scale and will incorporate material from the Zerg and Protoss campaigns of the game. Roles that will be included in the film are Aldaris and Artanis, and possibly Fenix.

We also have received word that the sequel to Dragon Age is also entering production. That film will draw heavily from the Orzammar and Brecilian Forest storylines of the game with some additional tweaks of orginality. Mark Addy will be joining the cast as Oghren. Like its predecessor, Dragon Age will be aiming for a December release.

The hit indie game, Psychonauts, will be adapted into a stop motion animated film to be released in the spring of Y5. The film follows Rasputin, a kid who breaks into a summer camp for psychic children, only to uncover an evil plot afoot. Tim Schaffer, who co-wrote and designed the game, will also be co-writing the feature film. No announcements have been made about the cast, but it will contain major voices in the game as well as other stars.
