A mini theater is a type of Japanese independent movie theater that is not under the direct influence of any major film companies. Mini theaters are characterized by their relatively smaller size and seating capacity compared to larger, non-independent movie theaters found in Japan, as well as their programming, which includes independent or arthouse films

They are adjusting it, so that Friday Numbers grow tall, which is enough to reduce the impact coming DBS:SH (Sat-Sun). Overall, Weekly basis numbers will see a strong hold, though Weekend might be diminishing (yet to be clear)

 

Dragon Ball Super: Super Heroes's Pre-sales weren't up to the mark many analyst expected. I can see many of their box office projection has changed from "¥1000M-¥1300M" to "¥800M-¥1000M". I am still optimistic (a bit of negative) about "¥700M+". But, let's see what happens.....

 

Interestingly, Premium Format (especially IMAX) is adjusted well.

Yeah, I noticed too. Not a prediction or anything but it wouldn't surprise me that much if DBS lost the weekend. If that happens it would probably mean 5 weekends at #1 for top gun I guess.

@JustLurking surely no 1 and no 2 data are flipped right on the usual location data. I mean TG2 only making 30% of last week friday while no 1 suddenly making 3.3x of last week. I mean there are no expansion too for the first place or i'm wrong ?

Think mimorin is just bugged today. I saw a few negative updates for a bunch of stuff and just doesn't make any sense in general (even excluding top gun there's no way shin ultraman is just randomly dropping -70% on a random friday after over a month for example). Blogger will probably fix at night.

Is there any reason why today seems like every movie holds better ? Don't expect TG2 holds below 15% after weekdays in 20%+ drop. 

 

Is it because Dragon Ball movie that sellout so the spillover gets to another movie ?

Conan is a Tier 1 Anime Film Series

Since, Sat-Sat hold is good. I imagine Sun-Sun hold be flat (it's usually better than Sat-Sat hold). So, I think 3rd Weekend will easily be above ¥650M, exceeding Spider-Man No Way Home (¥4.19B)
