CoolioD1
Ok then, my prediction:Anna KareninaBraveLife of PiLincolnThe Master Edited August 30, 2012 by CoolioD1
acsc1312
They'll probably give it to Williams for Lincoln, as he hasn't had one in a while. What if it's so weak that Newman gets in for Skyfall (or his score is so awesome)?
ddddeeee
Honestly, Williams doing americana bores me to tears. I don't have especially high hopes for it, though it's probably a default nomination. Edited August 30, 2012 by ddddeeee
Impact
No clue who does the score to this, but Life of Pi? From the trailer it looked like a film that could have a nice epic score.
ddddeeee
I think they changed the rules right after that year. I doubt Greenwood would risk it with this film anyway. The rule regarding the use of previously existing material still exists I believe. Though they disregard it as they like, as seen with TSN and Babel. Edited August 30, 2012 by ddddeeee
Kvikk Lunsj
This one reason why I love ddddeee he knows everything about score.
AniNate
The rule regarding the use of previously existing material still exists I believe. Though they disregard it as they like, as seen with TSN and Babel. It's really annoying how arbitrary they are with the rules. If TSN was eligible, I don't know why Drive's score shouldn't be. Travod
TSN had a new version of INTHOFMT (wayyyy too long to write) while Drive was basically a soundtrack.
4815162342
I liked The Who's cover of "In the Hall of the Mountain King" better than the one in TSN.

acsc1312
For now, just Beasts of the Southern Wild and The Master. Probably Desplat for Argo and Williams for Lincoln. Edited September 27, 2012 by acsc1312

CoolioD1
Apparently Lincoln's score is real subdued and not what you'd expect from Spielberg/Williams. That's pretty cool.
acsc1312
Maybe desplat for Argo? I haven't really listened fully since I bought it.
RichWS
Gotta figure Desplat's gonna get in with something. Rise of the Guardians?EDIT: Same time AC! Edited October 22, 2012 by RichWS
Impact
I was going to mention Argo, have not seen it though and was thinking it might use adapted music. So yeah.
Blankments
I've heard a few good things about Rise of the Guardians' score. Might upset the Brave pick, which I didn't feel was that special.Anna KareninaLincolnLife of PiThe MasterRise of the Guardians/Brave
