Tomorrow Marvel’s The Avengers will become the highest grossing domestic release in Disney’s history. The film is already the studio’s highest grossing film of all time globally, and will pass the $450M mark this weekend. Refined numbers and full analysis in the morning:

Was that so? They had the deal with Hasbro so they couldn't let go of Battleship. And I can understand that they were spooked by how big of an undertaking DT would have been.

Yeah, $15.5m means at least a $55m weekend. The Friday number will probably go up as well.
