"Overall moviegoing this weekend may be a dismal $125M, which is -15% even compared to last year when Green Lantern bombed"

In brightest day, in blackest night

No shitty movie shall escape my plight

Let those films a hack did write

Fail at the box office. I know, right?

Biggest WTF moment of the Summer for me. Was it the marketing that dropped the ball? I know the reviews are mixed at best, but I sorta figured this would be review proof.

I think one thing that deserves mentioning that literally just dawned on me yesterday was releasing a musical on Father's Day weekend! I mean as soon as that hit me I realized how incredibly dumb that idea was. The weekend out of the whole year that Dad's have the most pull and say so at the movies and the studios go and release a movie out of the single most unappealing genre to them? Yeah that raises a red flag to me. Edited by MovieMan89

This is awful for ROA. Really expected it to break out. I know it's Monday morning quarterbacking but I think the marketing wasn't very strong. It was there but it didn't emphasize Tom Cruise enough or really what this was all about... Just some generic "Guitar Hero" looking spots.
