pepsa Posted July 1, 2022 Share Posted July 1, 2022 So what we know: TGM 266.5k PS lead to a 188k (70%) OD and a 1.47m OW (not inclueding previews) (7.82 multi) Eternals 360k PS lead to a 296k (82%) ( OD and a 1.613m OW (not inclueding previews) (5.5 multi) BW 282k PS lead to a 196k (69%) OD and a 1.365m OW (not including previews) (6.96 multi) CM 442k PS lead to a 461k (104%) OD and a 3.034m OW (not including previews. (6.58 multi) NWH 742k PS lead to a 635k (86%) OD SC also had a 5.5 multi from OD to OW T: LaT has been pacing close to CM (started +30k in PS is now up 25K, but it will hold the 25k lead today) So let's say T:LaT does 440+ 25k => 465k total PS. 465 * 0.8 = 372k OD => 2.05m - 2.4m OW. Normaly I would predict the saturday jump to be higher this week than last week but because walkups have been quite weak so far I don't know if this will be the case. I am going to guess cgv will end with 213k. Meaning sat would be around 484k or up 2.5%. I checked SK boxoffice for Ragnarok and some other MCU movies, and perhaps this franchise isn't really their thing: Ragnarok (2017) - 35M Doctor Strange (2016) - 41M Black Panther (2018) - 42M Ant Man&the Wasp (2018) - 42M GOTG Vol 2 (2017) - 20M I picked only solo movies (no team ups) and release in 2017 like Ragnarok and a year before/after cause similar market conditions I assume. I have hard time seeing Captain marvel PS doing a CM OD, I mean we have clearly seen that PS have become a lot more spread out. Midnight showings will add a few k like last sat but CGV ratio dropped quite a bit. Update: it's at 480.250 now so roulgy 5k more than at midnight.
