RaidensSword
Yeah, I must also mention another film by the director richard curtis <love actually> which is almost a cultural phenomenon over here, being the subject of countless references and parodies. Koreans really love those kind of movies Thats great to know, love actually is a really nice movie. It has a lot of british charm.
Rsyu
Apes looks like it might have a strong start.I hope so, the presales are just decent at the moment nothing really great. It should clear 100K admissions OD but 200K looks doubtful.

BK007
About Time is a brilliant movie. Loved it. One of my fave films of last year. Was surprised to see it do so well in Korea, but it's mind boggling that it outgrossed, nearly doubled the UK gross. Insane.

Rsyu
Decent opening for Dawn of the planet of the apes, it currently holds a 9.0 rating on naver after 815 votes. Initial reaction seems to be positive. It will have to do a large portion of it's business before Kundo and HTTYD2 hits in 2 weeks time though. chasmmi
Just got back from it and it was an awesome film. Truly spectacular. One quick note (that probably will be true in other countries too), there is a lot of narrative between the apes in sign language and the film had no English subtitles, only Korean. Not going to be an issue for Koreans obviously, but often subtitled dialogue within the film is still there in the foreign cut with accompanying local translation too. This was not the case this time and thus will likely be true in all markets if your home is not speaking a language you can read well.
