This sounds like John Carter 2.0. Definition of mixed reviews. But then it was a given this was gonna be a box office loser domestically from the moment the first photos emerged.

So yeah, these reviews are landing exactly where we expected them to based off the early reactions. I don't think it can dip below 70%... for now.

It's funny, IMO these descriptions just indicate those reviewers/publications don't have that much experience with a lot of literary SF. It's not really a very weird story at all, and the visuals (while fun) aren't that crazy either.
