The plot thickens on the Baumer/AA bet. How in the world did those 2 manage to bet whether the movie would make over/under $260M? That is just fascinating.

Just the average of two extremes. I am a realistic fanboy and predicted 320, he was a realistic anti-fanboy and predicted 200(or thereabouts). It's probably no small coincidence that its headed toward the middle.

Totally true. But the smartest of the A-listers (Nolan, Cameron, etc) also make an effort to bring the studio on board, so they understand how their money's being spent.

No way it hits 260m now. Even if it has a really good weekend it's heading to 135m 6 day tops, but it still won't have a 2x multi. Again, what part of DIRECT competition with TDKR do some of you guys not get? TF1 didn't have anything of the sort and it only hit a 2x 6 day multi.
