Lordmandeep Posted July 21, 2012 Share Posted July 21, 2012 no ^^^DH2 did break the opening record of 12.9 million but made only 44 milion (which is great still) and that was in 3D.TDK had the 2nd highest opening weekend ever when it opened and made 52 million.Since then the only film to outgross was Avatar and TA. Are you really so obtuse to believe people wouldn't stay away from the entire complex to avoid being anywhere near? THINK! Thosr drops will tell the stpry.The media overwhelmingly refer to the incident as the "Batman massacre". This kiiling wouldn't have become such a big news item without Batman name attached to it. Surely it wasn't unrealistic to expect the goodwill from TDK to carry over significantly for TDKR. It's going to barely sell more tickets if at all. Not if TDK already played at peak performance for a Batman (superhero) movie. SM3 broke the OW record because it had no TA to deal with.
