Olive
I think it will be much higher than TDK with China's help.I'm expecting a OS total of 700-750M now. Edited July 23, 2012 by Invincible Olive
CloneWars
Would be nice for OS to make up for whatever effect the shooting is having on the DOM take of BO.
Olive
For the past 6 Batman movies, only Batman &Robin made more from OS markets than DOM.TDKR will become the second one for sure.
redfirebird2008
Would be nice to finally see Batman really catch on in OS markets.Especially with the BS that just happened in the domestic market.
tonytr87
Ironic that, just like TDK, Rises' box office is being affected by semi-related news headlines, only in the opposite direction.

lancer1997
Ny theater business seemed on pace with yesterday, including late showings, maybe 1 less sellout at Regal....The Sun "drop" will be interesting to say the least. Though at this point I am more interested in the Monday number. Edited July 23, 2012 by lancer1997
pmoore
My theater was absolutely packed tonight. Five sell outs listed on the board, and I am pretty sure they were all in 250-seaters.
redfirebird2008
Ironic that, just like TDK, Rises' box office is being affected by semi-related news headlines, only in the opposite direction.Trilogy hasn't had a single normal run.BB - drastically hurt by B&R and worst marketing ever for Bat franchise.TDK - Ledger effect.TDKR - shooting at midnight.
Lordmandeep
I think it should get a 3X multiplier but no more.
lancer1997
I think it should get a 3X multiplier but no more.Yeah see, don't think you can say that right now.The Shooting has changed EVERYTHING. What would you say if we saw Sun > Sat, and a Mon at like $30m? Not saying we will, on any of those, but wouldn't that alter your "no more" stance? druv10
I think it should get a 3X multiplier but no more.I'm fine with that. It could push 500M with 3 multiplier.
MovieMan89
Not to steer things too away from the movie and back to the tragedy or anything, but just wanted to share I was at the vigil ceremony in Aurora tonight (very well done), and visited the makeshift memorial of the victims and wanted to share these pics I took of it with my phone. The Century theater is in the background. Edited July 23, 2012 by MovieMan89
redfirebird2008
Glad you were able to go, MM89. I think the city should tear down the theater and build a permanent memorial.
Kvikk Lunsj
Does anyone think that TDKR on Blu ray/ DVD might do a in the "memory the victims" in the credits?
MovieMan89
Glad you were able to go, MM89. I think the city should tear down the theater and build a permanent memorial.I would like a memorial there as well. At the very least there should be a memorial where theater 9 was.
