Quality is subjective. I think a film like First Blood is better than a film like Gone With the Wind. Can you prove me right or can I prove that I am right? Nope. It's all about preference.

Citizen Kane has the best cinematography of any movie I have ever seen so I will disagree with you there. I couldn't care less for Star Wars movies one way or the other but yet I will still disagree with you on the latter, just not as strenuously.

Citizen Kane is a cinematic abortion and it is a 100% cure for insomnia. It has no business on any best list unless you are a 90 year old critic who grew up during the Great Depression.

I respect Citizen Kane more for the techincal innovations it introudced to cinema rather than having a strong story.
