Bronies are awful. I'm not saying fans of the show are awful, but any one who calls them self a brony is a terrible person. People need to stop coming up with names for specific fanbases, especially since they are always really annoying names, too.

Also I once listened to Howard Stern's show on MLP fans, and apparently some of the more, err, intense "bronies" call themselves cloppers and they jackoff to MLP and turn it into something sexual.... Some people are beyond saving.

Blecch...As for the brony nickname, it's just quicker to type/say than "fans of the new My Little Pony show". Generally people who like the new show still keep far, far away from the 80s/90s incarnations.
