ChD
I actually wanted to suggest such a thing, because good Marketing ideas would affect box office considerably. Also ... you would make it a lot easier for the user who's doing actuals if you describe your poster, or tagline or banner or whatever... Good idea get good rewards. Just saying. 4815162342
That's 8 films with trailers released with Alesia. You guys can't just slap a trailer on every high-profile film that comes out in a 2-3 week span. That's not how studios operate with tentpoles. They attach a trailer to a single major film and the film they attach it to is almost always one they have in the desired time period. SilverShark
Well I decided to not post any further informations about the marketing, that´s just getting to weird because all films in Y5 had their trailer with Alesia . I guess this thread haven´t an influence on boxoffice or something, right?

I guess this thread haven´t an influence on boxoffice or something, right? It shouldn't because marketing is way too hard to take into account. Films have blanketed the airwaves with ads but still flopped, because the ads or trailers themselves could be bad.

Blankments
IMAX 6-mins opening scene running from December-February I'm assuming this is with Lord Madship... Is the trailer with standard prints only? I'd think it'd be odd to have a six-min prologue and then a two-min trailer.
Alpha
Edited due to mixed reactions. THE RED PYRAMID IMAX 6-min Prolouge: September, Year 4 (attached to Tomb Raider) First Teaser Trailer: November, Year 4 (attached to Chuck Norris and Liam Neeson) First Poster: November, Year 4 Character Posters: November, Year 4 First Theatrical Trailer: February, Year 5 (attached to The Jungle Book) Second Poster: February, Year 5 Third Poster: March, Year 5 Edited November 10, 2012 by etr906
The Dark Alfred
You can't have a 6-mins IMAX prologue for the same film. Hindenburg is on for the films that showing in IMAX from December-February, which happens to be Lord Madship. Also IMAX don't do split releases, so I'm afraid Red Pyramid won't get IMAX treatment. Community Manager Water Bottle Posted October 30, 2012 Community Manager Share Posted October 30, 2012 Well I decided to not post any further informations about the marketing, that´s just getting to weird because all films in Y5 had their trailer with Alesia . I guess this thread haven´t an influence on boxoffice or something, right?None whatsoever. This marketing info is just for fun and largely there to help make the world feel more real but since many players (like me) aren't participating, it makes no sense to take this thread into consideration when doing actuals. They pay to go see the movie in IMAX only to have 12 minutes spent on previewing two other movies.
