Star Trek Into Darkness barely snags the #1 spot, robbing The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey of the rare feat of maintaining #1 status the week of its release and also bumping Iron Man 3 down a place. The reasoning for this was likely twofold, one being the less than enthusiastic early critical reaction for The Hobbit and the other being the release of the very well-received teaser footage for Star Trek.

Further down the list, Django Unchained and Les Miserables switch places this week likely based on both of the films' advance buzz, which so far is looking about as good as expected for Django and less than expected for Les Mis.

Also gaining ground with great advance buzz is Zero Dark Thirty, which rose three places this week to #8 on the strength of a 100% Tomatometer with 32 reviews in so far.

Dropping two places are The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Monsters University, whose press buzz was relatively dormant this week (at least earlier, in the case of MU).
