Michael Seng Wah
yes. its marketed better in OS for sure. Russia is doing great where batman movies generally underperformed. Despite ruble being in state of rubble it will beat inception in Russia. Easily the biggest grosser in ruble for sure. China should beat all his previous flicks but that is expected. Only developed markets under performed plus it almost bombed in Latin america It is definitely yes WB did good marketing, they screen the final trailer heavily in my local theaters. They will still gv Nolan tons of money to work on another masterpiece, no doubts.

A Marvel Fanboy
Indeed millions of Nolanfans in China. They are everywhere on the web: Douban, Weibo, Zhihu, Baidu, QQ ..... Looks Interstellar will play as of the leggy releases of 2014. $30m for Fury ? dont think so. Can't see more than $20m for that one. WW2 war flick is tough sell. Ho-Cheung Pang's Women Who Know How to Flirt Are the Luckiest on Nov 28th should also be big. Then The Crossing (12.02) and Meet Miss Anxiety (12.05). 2014 Winter box office season, the most epic one ever, officially kicks off on Dec 2 with John Woo's Crossing, lasting until Mar 5——the Lantern Festival. Key slots: Dec 2 ------- winter starter Dec 18 ----- always reserved for one of the year's biggest tentpoles Dec 25 ----- Christmas Jan 1 ------- New Year holiday Feb 14 ----- VD Feb 19 ----- Chinese New Year holiday Mar 5 ------- Lantern Festival 94 days. Post-New year holiday ~ pre-Valentine's day is prepared for delayed Hollywood films.
James
Hmm... I seriously wonder how did WB managed to get Interstellar released so fast and in such a competition free environment. Are they and SARFT in good relationships?
