$280m locked.

Heading towards $290m and possibly maybe $300m.

$270m and beating VM locked now with making a few million dollars more than I thought for Xmas Eve/Day.  A lot has to go right to clear $280m, I don't know about $290m.  Three middling releases on Saturday need to bomb to get shows back on Sunday.  NYE monster release needs to collapse on NYD as PS suggest.  It needs an extension and BBee to bomb.

Estimates vary on different sites and the dailies increase on Maoyan slightly over time as actuals come in and I haven't adjusted. Also XR used can be slightly different.

Maoyan has 1644m thru Mon, 2m more than the chart.  The average XR is about 6.89 for the run.  $238.6m.  Gavin could have used 6.88

I have a question, is it possible you do not know the following possibility?

if you mark a sentence, word, whatever with your mouse out of a text you want to answer to, there appears a small 'quote selection' window.

Click on that and only the marked area (it can be a number or too...) gets quoted.

In my POV it is rather annoying if people quote complete charts for no real reason.

Haha. Hope you dont take this the wrong way, but this is quite possibly my favourite post on this forum.OCD-driven passive aggression at its best. I'm sure you didnt mean it, but I am surrounded by sarcastic, passive aggressive assholes so those are the types of replies I live for...😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

As this is the China forum, I'll add spoiler tags, as this is OT More better per PM

Spoiler

The most would probably describe me as mostly friendly and helpful,.... (in RL), but if something really annoys me I can be less.... friendly.

Its not meant as passive aggressive, its meant as direct - no misunderstanding possible (but my English is mainly self-trained I might have made a mistake).

In this case:

I did a few years back the dailies and more, tons of charts. People use mobiles (sometimes slow, and or expensive, not all live in US; EU or...) and beside repeatedly asking for not quoting charts people did the full quotes. That was - in my POV - then (not here, also the newer members will not even know about if) a disrespect of the mobile users at least, but also to others, why do many have to scroll through repeated charts only bcs one was not willing to look out for.... mostly out of laziness, sloppiness or similar.

And that I do not like at all.

I tried it with charts within quotes (then a full quote does not show the chart) but then mobile users see then a broken / all over the place chart.

It happened too often, got to be a kind of sore point for me.

If someone still does it after getting pointed out, no problem, I will not repeat that or...., but so no one can say he/she didn't know (see the no misunderstanding possible)

It s not a rule here (I think), its my POV.

Sarcastic I can be too, but that I try to avoid that in writing as it is too dangerous to be misunderstood (if I do sarcastic I add 'sarcastic' at the end)
I think a lot of regions (not only countries, even within countries are differences) use fun, poking, .... in a sometimes very different way and as such I often even ask how someone means something. Sometimes very interesting reactions to be found.

Oh, and also how to use certain terms, for me e.g. best actor means best as an actor, but there is a country that does actually use the term (we too have it, others and English,... has it), in the meaning 'best character' of the person / nicest actor of a cast or so.

Language is a funny thing.

Hehe, no, I totally get it. Again, not to go on stereotypes, but Germans are known for being direct. Really do appreciate your posts on the forum, which is why I hoped you wouldn't think I was being depricating in any way. It just really amused me. 😂

I'm Romanian, live in England, have family back home, as well as Austria, Italy, Spain, Germany and friends on pretty much every continent, so I have always either had direct influence or at least was able to appreciate the diversity of human culture, and one of the most intriguing venues to observe the differences is not necessarily within language itself, but how people apply their native speaking habits within their secondary languages...   Anyway,  sorry for the OT. as I said, just funny.

For our Chinese netizens, I'm curious what the reaction to Aquaman has been in relation to the greater DCEU. I can see why the movie appealed to Chinese audiences, but does the positive word of mouth include openness and eagerness for more from the DCEU or is it just thw Aquaman character. With Shazam sandwiched between Cpt Marvell and Endgame, I'm curious how that will do and whether it will open in China and if so, when, how it might be received, etc...

I am usually better (about not OT), but for this I can not resist:

Spoiler

I am Bavarian out of a region that's even 'bad' for Bavaria, and Bavarians in general are known within our country to be worse than the average in being direct and rather harsh in the language (means what we think is normal other Germans think is harsh, not friendly...) = I really try usually to not convey that to non-Bavarians or non-Germans.

Btw End game Still release in May in China.Captain Marvel March.Shazam April. One month apart. It's okay for shazam.

May is a bit crowded with End Game,Detective Pikachu,Godzilla:Kings of the Monsters. All of them will be Big in China.April is fine.
