Unless the share going back to the studio increases and a robust ancillary market actually emerges revenues made in China can't compare at all to Domestic grosses, or even those from say the UK.  Right now every $1 made in the US at a theater equates to about 7 times more profit than one in China for a U.S. film.  They're certainly not going to turn their nose at the extra growing revenue from China but it's a long way to tipping any balance of power and having to completely cater to China as opposed to adding in a couple of minutes of China service.

it will take 10 years at the most. And 10 years is not a very long time for an industry.

New Years Eve est:
Detective Chinatown 91M/140M

Mr. Six 64M/467M

Mojin 49M/1368M

Heart for Heaven 30.8M
D&A 15.7/595M

Good opening for DC, magnificent increase for Mr. Six.

Nice jump for Mojin, Decent opening for HFH.

Horrible drop for D&A.

It is an amazing number for sure. Made close to JW and AoU in a far smaller market, although it did have 2 months in theaters. Wonder how much Avatar 2 can grow given 8 years of growth between the two. Can it be highest grossing film of all time again in China, or will there be too much competition in the market now?

Guan Hu expected 800M Yuan for Mr. Six. It's not disappointed.

I think the range could be 400-500 mill if the release date is great and screens are plenty
