I think it will be hurt more by other Hollywood movies coming 1-2 weeks later than TASM.

#3 update:For midnight, TASM about 3.3M yuan, $0.52; TDKR about 2.7M yuan, $0.43M.For matinee shows (by 12am), TASM is doing better than TDKR.

I think Spider-Man still just has too much of a popularity edge in most of Asia. 3D helps a bit too.

A bit? 15-20% is big. But yeah, I would think having 3 Spider-Man films already released in that market is a big advantage to begin with.

Didn't someone say that TASM is playing only on 3D screens? If so, the boost is a lot bigger than 15-20%. More like 30-40% since none of the tickets are being sold at 2D prices.
