10.35M/1016m, -2%

 

9.5 (-10%) // 1025.5 cume by Thursday

 

3.5 (-63%)

5.5 (+57%)

5.0 (-9%)

= 14 4th weekend (close to 70% drop) //  1039.5 cume

 

Guessing total 1055 ($154-155)

Mission Impossible 6 off to a good start on Douban. Ant Man 2 didn't budge from its initial rating there so I doubt MI6 will change much.

That rating is encouraging

MI6 PS on track for 45m+, edging out AM2

It won't have summer weekdays next week, but it will have little competition next weekend.

If the PSm can be close to AM2 on OD, it should bump better on Saturday and get close 500m/$73m OW

OWm should be at least 2 with a good rating and light competition.  I don't think anything is opening big until the Oct 1 holiday

1b/$146m looking good

 

AM2 will lose 65% of it shows tomorrow but PS suggest that it will down 80%+ WoW. It will have a better WoW hold tomorrow with a large saturday bump but the weekend will still be down 75-80%.  I think it may fall short of 2x OW but still be close to 900m/$131m

100m for the weekend sounds right.  could leg better with MI6's dailies dropping 15-20% thereby picking up shows next midweek and little competition next weekend

Too early to predict accurately. Let’s see tomorrow’s performance - I think WoM will be strong so PS multiplier might be better than average.

Are you talking about in Yuan or USD because in local currency MI6 (9.58m) had a slightly bigger midnight gross than MI5 (9.34m). But MI5 was released on a tuesday as there was a holiday on Thursday. 

 

Presales will end up about 48-49. From there even if the multi is as low as Ant Man 2, MI6 will still manage a 70’s usd opening (71 to 73). But with better WoM and the fact that superhero movies are more frontloaded, it is likely MI6 will have a better multi than AM2. 

 

AM2 had a multi of about 10. MI6 will need a multi of only about 11.18 to get to 80+ which seems possible. MI5 made only about 86m usd in the entire week. MI6 has a chance to make more in a weekend if WoM is great.
