Venom will have 100k-plus showtimes on this Friday. FB2 is looking to 110-120K. I wouldn't be surprised if Venom have more showtimes than FB2 on this weekend.

Presuming Avengers 4 gets to open only after the early May holidays on May 10th, what does that say about the release date of Detective Pickachu? I mean there's no chance they'll these release two huge event films on the same week, or even only one week apart, right?

If wom is good then the movie gets it's screens back eventually, is what we have seen off late. Meg did great, Venom gonna do well against FB2. AIW, JW2, Coco, RPO, MI6 all had longer run. If the movie has so-so wom then other factors come into play.
