Thurs D-1 at 1.04, +200%. Obviously NYE boosted, don’t read too much into it. However, I find it encouraging that it’s a bit above Ponyo and Dream of Eternity PS with half the screens so far.

I had not realized that Ponyo is being (re-)released. I adore it.

Yesterday’s Maoyan prediction for Ths total gross was 4.45.

Down to 9.5, RIP 😛 

 

Excited to see how tomorrow shakes out. Ponyo with just 2M PS or so doesn’t seem like it will be a huge factor over the weekend. Soul has almost as high a screen % as it did for Sat, and should gain some from Dream of Eternity on Fri. Unless both openers have 9.2+, not too worried about it.

I will still wait because Wednesday bump could be reaction to losing shows soon. It should have grown on Tuesday. 

 

Let's see how the next Monday hold as 2nd weekend might not be proper indicator due to lack of shows.

Yesterday Maoyan had projected 12.5 from Wed+Thur. Instead it will do 25... so they increased lifetime forecast by .5%

Soul will have 75mn capacity, 20mn isn't really too high to expect 😉 If you aren't really filling 25% seats, you aren't really breaking out.

 

Coco had 33% occupancy on 88k shows on its 2nd Saturday compared to 25% on its first Sunday on 59k shows.

 

Soul 1st Sunday was 18% on 30k shows, tomorrow should be 25% at least and probably 40% on 1st on 11k shows. (WW84 went to 17% occupancy on Boxing day).
