I think 5M BD+DVD combined in US/CA.Also, dont forget the ad inputs SKyfall had received. Movies as Skyfall get at least 50M inputs.i might have underestimated skyfall profit, yes. the point is, it broke even in theaters (great success) and there is more money to come. its pesimistic retuirn of investment is 25 percent, optimistic (5M dvd+br sales, much lower budget than 200M) might be as high as 100 percent. but we will never know for sure. Its run already pretty much ended in many markets.academy awards nomination make a nice boost in US. /all other markets do not care much about oscars) it can be as much as 30 percent boost from the day the nominations were anounced. LoP might get 10M boost in DOM gross. (may important movies get an apporx. 30 percen boost in screen number in US after the nomination, check previous years.) HLW studios dont like beeing seen as greedy capitalist corporations, they preffer to be seen as culture organization which provides artisic values. this is what academy awards are for, to showcase artistic higher values. yes, they can boost theatrical gross a little of certain films in US, but not that much. (ok, they are some exceptions, if a movie is releases in limited run couple of weeks before nominations and after the nominations screen count is maximized, this might a matter of tens of millions dollar boost, but this is ussually done but smaller independednt stuidos, not the big ones, independts are seen as art house film makers, so they do not need the prestige as much as big HLW stuidos, which created oscars originally) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think around 360M but regardless, 450M OS is looking like lock and strong showing Japan and 500M OS could happen. Now that holidays are over it will probably drop like 70-80%(compared to 6 day weekend). So no way it makes 45M this weekend. it will be lucky to drop 50% compared to last weekend.
