I meant that Red Pyramid will be the first $70M opener.

I don't think that'll happen. It's opening first week of April, and if it opened to 40-50 million that'd be considered really good. On that weekend only two movies have opened higher one is Fast 4, and the other is Clash of the Titans. Both of which are already pre-established movies. You're probably looking at a 40-50 million opening which is good. It could be the highest unadjusted opening for a movie on that weekend in April. (With ~58 million you'll get adjusted as well after factoring in IMAX. )Hoping for a 70+ million opening for Oro. It got good reviews so I'm hoping for good BO as well. Edited by riczhang

Apr 2-4:Red Pyramind opened a bit below expectations, but still managed to more than double the strongest holdover. ZeroG did rather well considering its sensitive subject matter. The less said about having a film making less than 500k in the top 10… the better.1. Red Pyramid: 50,327,606 (1st week)2. Godzilla: 18,498,281 (3rd week)3. ZeroG: 17,469,095 (1st week)4. Psychonauts 11,925,321 (2nd week)5. Nonexistence: 5,912,467 (4th week)6. Paradise Lost: 4,776,119 (5th week)7. The Very Last First Time: 1,281,305 (5th week)8. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish: 863,501 (9th week)9. 3:37 AM: 702,105 (10th week)10. Slit Happens: 489,507 (4th week)Apr 9-11:Chuck Norris and Liam Nesson easily destroy the weak competition and draw a cool 57 million. The Cinemascore was an A, suggesting this franchise knows its fans very well. Red Pyramind had a somewhat steep drop after its first weekend. El Sombrero did very well in limited release, with its Los Angeles location being very crowded.1. Chuck Norris: 57,032,973 (1st week)2. Red Pyramid: 25,556,441 (2nd week)3. Godzilla: 9,672,405 (4th week)4. ZeroG: 8,101,853 (2nd week)5. Psychonauts 6,658,836 (3rd week)6. Nonexistence: 3,452,206 (5th week)7. Paradise Lost: 3,076,868 (6th week)8. The Very Last First Time: 624,447 (6th week)9. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish: 463,701 (10th week)10. 3:37 AM: 389,561(11th week)--El Sombrero: 337,191 (1st week - 5 theaters)Apr 16-18:He couldn’t hold on too well, but a lack of competition allow Chuck/Liam another week on top. El Sombrero manages to get into the Top 10 with its “semi-wide” release. Hot Wheels had a B+ for Cinenascore. People seemed to think of it as Fast For Furious Jr, and not everyone was happy, but it still managed 20 million. Silent Invasion went above its expectations.1. Chuck Norris: 24,476,155 (2nd week)2. Hot Wheels: 20,614,318 (1st week)3. Red Pyramid: 14,176,798(3rd week)4. Silent Invasion: 13,492,803 (1st week)5. Godzilla: 5,424,659(5th week)6. ZeroG: 4,099,963 (3rd week)7. Psychonauts 3,476,841 (4th week)8. El Sombrero: 2,905,136 (2nd week -344 Theaters)9. Nonexistence: 2,079,701 (6th week)10. Paradise Lost: 1,891,588 (7th week)Apr 23-25:While Men of Night didn’t have a huge opening like we’ve seen for the first two weeks of the month, the word of mouth suggests it will be around for a while. Madonna got her fans to come out, but not anyone else.1. Men of Night: 21,244,367 (1st week)2. Chuck Norris: 12,526,708 (3rd week)3. Hot Wheels: 11,283,035 (2nd week)4. Madonna: 8,283,401 (1st week)5. Red Pyramid: 8,104,663 (4th week)6. Silent Invasion: 6,035,372 (2nd week)7. Godzilla: 3,507,231 (6th week)8. El Sombrero: 2,238,606 (3rd week)9. ZeroG: 2,168,309 (4th week)10. Psychonauts 1,922,496 (5th week)Apr 30-May 2:Finally, the summer is upon us! While Oro didn’t hit the 100 million expectations that were beginning to come up for it, it had a strong opening and fans and critics both love it. Other films suffered as a result of Oro’s release, particularly Red Pyramid, who finally had to give up the IMAX theaters it still was holding onto. El Sombrero didn’t have a box office increase with its expansion, because with advertisements mentioning the Cinco De Mayo opening, some people seem to be waiting to see it then.1. Oro: 74,107,531 (1st week)2. Men of Night: 13,045,402 (2nd week)3. Chuck Norris: 6,258,113 (4th week)4. Hot Wheels: 5,462,113 (3rd week)5. Red Pyramid: 3,656,725 (5th week)6. Madonna: 3,336,991 (2nd week)7. Silent Invasion: 2,499,127 (3rd week)8. El Sombrero: 2,209,551 (4th week - 549 theaters)9. Godzilla: 1,674,521(7th week)10. ZeroG: 1,016,711 (5th week)

I don't think Silent Invasion is a 2D animation  but that is an amazing OW for it. The sequel is now greenlighted and it will move foward with a Labor Day Weekend Y6 release date! And Madonna did well, too! Now June is the next month where I have a new movie :)
