Goffe
Still... That means somewhere around 900M budget with marketing. That's too much for a trilogy. I mean, Jackson made LOTR trilogy with around 250M ($78M each movie - no marketing). That's a x3 jump.with marketing included, 480m for the three LOTR
riczhang
And Helen Mirren was good, but I thought it was just Mirren on auto-pilot. Her character was a cardboard cut out.Naomi Watts in The Impossible is one of the best performances I have ever seen. She was incredible. She should win, although I haven't seen Zero Dark Thirty yet, because it doesn't interest me.I loved Mirren. Watts was just decent.

riczhang
Oh jings. Each to their own.Watch any other Mirren film and you'll see the same character. Aside from The Queen.I think that she has this commanding screen presecence and this minimalistic style almost that makes her such a great actress. I consider her performance in The Queen tied for first in te greatest performances from 2000-2009 tied with Huppert in The Piano Teacher. The Queen is also my BP win of 06 Edited January 9, 2013 by riczhang

fishstick
Theer`s no way TABA`s gonna cost less than AUJ and DOS since they will be filming Bot5A this summer or spring. That shit`s gonna cost.TH isn`t anywhere near as profitable as LOTR was. I don`t believe in under $100 mio budget for TTT and Skrieapoo but TH is overpriced to the max. Die Tauriel die! Elessar
New Line sold off the rights for foreign distribution (before it became a huge hit), WB will get all that profit for themselves. Edited January 9, 2013 by Elessar
