TLK
He doesn't have to campaign to stay in the race. I think he will get nominated regardless of whether he campaigns.
Impact
Still on team Hanks.
forg
Monique did not campaign as well so if the performance is strong enough, Fassbender could still make it
MrPink
The performance is certainly strong enough. Can't comment on Leto though. But Fassbender was absolutely terrifying and deranged.
bcf26
As of now, my predictions are: 1. Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) 2. Michael Fassbender (12 Years A Slave) 3. Barkhad Abdi (Captain Philips) 4. Jonah Hill (The Wolf of Wall Street) 5. (Still don't know) Edited October 30, 2013 by bcf26
CoolioD1
Hmm Bradley Cooper - American Hustle Michael Fassbender - 12 Years a Slave Tom Hanks - Saving Mr. Banks Jonah Hill - The Wolf of Wall Street Jared Leto - Dallas Buyers Club
Leyla
Hanks Geoffrey Rush (The Book Thief) Leto Fassy Bruhl (hopefully) Barkhad Abdi (hopefully) Edited November 5, 2013 by Leyla
baumer
And everyone has forgotten Harisson Ford in 42. It came out in April so naturally people will forget about it.
TLK
Hanks Geoffrey Rush (The Book Thief) Leto Fassy Bruhl (hopefully) Barkhad Abdi (hopefully) I am about 95% sure that Tom Hanks won't campaign for both Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. He can still get nominated for both categories, though.
Jack Nevada
Michael Fassbender - 12 Years a Slave Jonah Hill - The Wolf on Wall Street Jared Leto - Dallas Buyers Club James Gandolfini - Enough Said Tom Hanks - Saving Mr. Banks
The Stingray
Hopefully Muse in Captain Phillips can get a nod.
Jack Nevada
Hopefully Muse in Captain Phillips can get a nod. I'd love that.
TLK
I think Barkhad Abdi is a legitimate contender for Best Supporting Actor Oscar.
Cmasterclay
It's a stacked category that gets more stacked by the day. Fassbender and Leto are locks, and Hanks sure looks like it. Hill, Abdi, Harrleson (huge praise for Out of the Furnace), Cooper, and Gandolfini will all battle it out for those last two spots.
baumer
Does Ford have a shot with 42? He has one of the best supporting performances imo.

CoolioD1
Does Ford have a shot with 42? He has one of the best supporting performances imo. I was just over at In Contention and that site is absolutely covered with FYC ads for Ford. I say he's definitely a possibility even though I'm not predicting him. Didn't like 42 but it's a fun performance so I wouldn't mind much.
Blankments
Fassbender was easily the best performance in 12 Years, this is the one category where I'm hoping wholeheartedly that 12 Years wins
forg
Ford's team is really campaigning hard with online FYC ads. I hope it happens, I didn't see the movie but I want a movie from the first 4 months of 2013 to be represented in major races Edited November 18, 2013 by forg
