Fox has a history of canceling program whose production values are what they view to high and of intense network meddling in orginal programing

All networks do that.  Even HBO has cancelled shows like Carnivale, Deadwood and Rome because of their high production costs.

They were rejected but people are saying Murdoch won't stop until he gets it and they are buying time warner which includes hbo.

 

Murdoch is bidding for a merger with Time Warner. Things are in the nascent stage right now. If it indeed happens then assets like CNN are expected to be sold off to rival networks like Disney-owned ABC or Viacom's CBS to avoid monopolization. HBO could be similarly sold off too.

 

Again, this scenario comes into play only if the merger does not fall through. Relax for the time being.  B)

Hmm, reading articles about how HBO's what he is REALLY after to turn it into his gambit against Netflix... which, WTF? When and why did Netflix become so threatening all of a sudden? Also, if it really is a move against Netflix, changing HBO content to a large degree ain't gonna do shit even IF he does acquire/merge with Time Warner.

 

Which is a big if in itself.

Also, looks like the Arianne-elimination rumor is true after all. Fucking stupid.

Fucking good. Seems like Quentyn hasn't made the cut either. I think this suggests Arianne doesn't really have much of a bearing on the end game even in the books.No Griff/Young Griff though? Expecting that to change but wouldn't be too surprised if they were cut for more focus on the King's Landing story. That description of the High Sparrow makes him sound like a politically ambitious messiah figure. Love the direction they are going with him. :wub:
