Bay (Big director) + Walhberg + Rock (Big stars) + Dark humor. That usually works quite well in Europe (Django was big because of that). People won't wait 4 months to see a movie.

Not surprised in the least that P&G dropped. Never thought it'd be a very audience-friendly movie considering the eventual plot turns and how irredeemable the characters become closer to the end. It's a pretty misanthropic movie.
