Man, Selma is really being snubbed by the Guilds. Will it get a DGA nom? What happens if none of the major guilds nominates it? I know a lot of people have Selma as likely winning, but man, where is the support?

I don't think it has any chance after the Globes (to win). If the momentum was going to shift enough for it to win the big ones at the Oscars I think it needed to at least win either director or picture at the Globes.

Well, that makes the Best Director and Best Movie race a lot more interesting. From everything I read this week it was nearly unanimously expected that the DGA was going to go to Boyhood.

Personally I'd put Birdman and Grand Budapest Hotel ahead of Boyhood if I was voting. :D

Curious about today's BAFTA wins. Also often similar to the Oscar's, if the winning titles are not 'too British'

I'll be happy if either Birdman or Boyhood wins Best Picture. Both are great movies, some of the best of the year.

However, Linklater should win Director. His artistic achievement and dedication to such a project shouldn't be ignored.

I don't think we should be saying x should win or anything. We should just be praying that they don't give it to James Marsh.
