    The number they probably have is that (probably underestimated) 7.5M so they assume that Frozens decline has started. But yeah, even with that in mind not even mentioning IM3 is pretty weak on their side

    It did pretty well in many European markets... though one thing i should note is that the European setting for europeans is basically what they see every day and know. But for countries like Japan this setting is foreign and exotic and therefore probably a bit more interesting. btw, thats one of my posts from January ppl still feared for 1B WW

    You seriously compare caddying at a golf club with people living through a world war or the great depression??? And i assume with "no single American kid" caddying nowadays you mean no white kid? I would assume that this is a class thing... nowadays i think white people in the states are more frequently part of the upper middle class. I doubt that in your day and age there were many rich white people caddying. As for people disagreeing with you. Being smug about being right is one thing but you slinging personal insults at everybody who even dares to criticise your opinions is getting really really tiring to read. This is a discussion board. Only allowing just one kind of idea to be discussed is actually what is responsible for a lot of suffering in this world... And to add at least a little thread relevant stuff to this post: Frozen beating Conan on this weekend would be epic...

    Frozen opened on a friday so its two day OW was a little deflated... still, i am pretty sure that what is happening here is completely crazy... i mean it already has a 12x multiplier in a weekend that is still larger than its OW which was already pretty big to begin with

    final prediction? i guess your argumentation for it going well beyound 150M sounds really solid (though its hard to tell for me since i am pretty much a newbie when it comes to BO numbers ) so i will say $190M and hope for the best my initial $95M before release and $115M after release wont hold anyways

    i guess in order to compensate for that the internet is already doing crossovers and damn... that last episode of Agents of SHIELD really did tie in with the winter soldier pretty nicely...

    Dont get me wrong, i am really impressed with how good you are keeping up with this run and i like reading your posts. btw, closest number in dollars would basically boil down to taking a percentage based on the actual number if i am not mistaken. But yes, as long as 25% are the llimit for actually counting a win then both methods are really really close anyways

    The only thing that might be a bit strange when using your prediction as fixed point and base the percentages on that is, that it heavily favors overprediction... please correct me if i am wrong, but according to that method a $200M prediction for frozens DOM would be worse than say predicting one trillion dollars since that wont be 100% off?

    Interesting... cinder is a YA AND a princess story. And it probably skews heavily female. I guess after their big male focused franchises they want to diversify a little like wdas is doing. Home is also a step in that direction.

    Though i would add that frozens production was pretty turbulent and they struggled until the end to get the movie finished... just like bh6 it was also on a 2 year schedule which is something new for WDAS

    beating TS3 in admissions would be pretty cool already but doing that in actual dollars (exchange rate advantage AND i guess higher 3D share? ) really would be insanely impressive

    Still havent seen this (really late release in Germany/Austria) and i will certainly watch it in english (which is not that easy here since everything is being dubbed into german). I assume legos humor is very pop culture centered and i guess also relies on puns, both of which do not translate that well into other languages. Will be interesting to see whether german audiences will connect with the movie since most of them will not see it in german...

    When looking at the 2 day weekend MU did better (though admission wise it seems that both are about equal on sa/su which is still pretty cool... MU had a higher 3D share).
