  1. Oh my mistake actually yes he is in the scene where they confront Jean. Okay so its after maybe 40 minutes that he isn't seen agfain, in that case. He's not in a coma. at least if he is its not shown or indicated. Once they return from confronting Jean i am 99% sure he doesnt appear again. regardless, yeah sadly there is no Quicksilver scene like in DOFP and Apocalypse, a shame really. He's not in the film very much. Space rescue scene is good, not very long but doesn't need to be. Shows all of them working together.
  2. There was none. Kept waiting for it to appear but nope. Quicksilver is not in the film after first 15 minutes.
  3. yeah she has strong powers. But this is in Apocalypse, looks like her appearing as a Phoenix right? I dont know much about these films so may be wrong.
  4. i saw apocalypse twice and don't remember that. Huh. I don't think they care about the films matching up. Jean Grey receives her Phoenix powers in this film set in 1992, but in the last movie she already had the phoenix powers. Which was in 1983.
  5. I just logged in to Steam for the first time in a few months. Why is Half Life 2 of all things downloading an update? Why are they updating 15 year old games?
  6. is that a thing? Wasn't aware. Quicksilver is in the opening space rescue mission, then after they land I don't *think* you see his face again at all, until the very final shot which is back at the house and camera pans past various characters. Speaking of magneto, his camp is pretty dope. He and his gang live in shipping containers.
  7. I was really disappointed that we didn't get a Quicksilver scene like the previous two films. He's barely in the film, only in the space scene right? Maybe he couldn't make the reshoots or something? Seems strange they would deliberately miss out on fan favourite character and one of the better parts of these x-men films.
  8. That costume's cool as fuck. She looks like a world of warcraft character.
  9. first SLOP did not open during holidays unlike SLOP 2. FLOP2 will fall back a bit now. the first one had holidays come around about 4 weeks into release i think which it gave it a lot of staying power. No school holidays until late July now.
  10. currently do have a toddler with nuclear launch codes though.
  11. Your Name came here like a year after its japanese release but well worth the wait. Liking the radwimps in that trailer. I'm not an anime fan but i loved your name so i'll watch this if it gets a release near me.
  12. What? Just telling from my perspective as ex-gay

  14. I don't see why if you can have pride in being minority, why can't you have pride in being majority. Or better yet, why have pride at all over something you can't control. I used to be gay , don't recall feeling proud of it, what a silly idea. Not fitting into your agenda doesn't make someone a "piece of shit".
  15. I wouldn't have heard of The Smiths without BUMBLEBEE (2018, d. Travis Knight). I'm glad I saw that film.
  16. No. I watched about 40 minutes. There is one amazing thing about it, how anyone involved in it thought what they made is appropriate for kids. There's a very rapey dog that is attracted to the main dog, and the whole film she chases him around trying to kiss him. She ties him and drags him around so he can't escape and she can kiss him. I wouldn't normally think much of these cheap Euro animations but this was really quite strange. Don't know who thought sexual harrassment of puppies was a good topic for kids movie. oh and Donald Trump flirting with female royal guards.
  17. its not like he is complaining in the film. You can criticise his performance that's up to you but most people would say he is on form and playing the role correctly as required. happens all the time that actors say explicitly they really dont want to be involved in the film, but they still give a great performance. just look at Harrison Ford.
  18. an actor doing their job for money? Heresy. I hear that Robert Downey Jr only plays Iron Man because of his kind heart and love for the comics. I heard he actually tried to refuse the paycheque from Disney as he only wanted $1 million, but Bob Iger just insisted he take the full $50! Now that's a true actor.
  19. easy answer, first one was a novelty, second one was a Batman movie. I would bet they could continue with the Bats sequel and it would make money but otherwise, there simply isn't enough interest in more lego movies. I think the problem probably lies in the characters, don't think people & especially kids are invested enough in the characters, and they're not distinctive enough - unlike say the different animal characters in Madagascar, Ice age, and even smaller hits like kung fu panda etc also, maybe I am completely wrong. but - the lego movie was amazingly well received, by adults. The things that adults loved so much about lego movie, did kids love that as much and care about it after the fact? was lego movie any better to kids than the dozens of other animated films that come out since then?
  20. Thanks for informing me, watching it now. 5 minutes in and not a word of dialogue spoken yet, people just nod and grunt at each other. Not difficult to see how the studio kept their costs down lol.
