  1. Also this isn't an inspiring story. Only briefly so when Wahlberg is helping people close to the end, but by and large the second half is basically a horror show.
  2. The Secret of Kells is stupefyingly gorgeous to look at (and listen to). I wasn't expecting my jaw to literally drop every few minutes or so.
  3. Yeah, from the trailers neither sounds award-worthy. Definitely could see Moana winning then if it's got a real show-stopper in there.
  4. I hope La La Land wins for a song they didn't put in a trailer, just to make these far-out predictions look even more pointless.
  5. Deepwater can get in here. A lot of truly impressive work in there.
  6. Clash Julieta Neruda The Salesman Toni Erdmann Don't actually expect this many name directors to make it in, but anyway.
  7. Just gotta wait until the 2005 nostalgia really hits.
  8. Look we all know Delgo is gonna be #1. What's interesting is the order all the others are in.
  9. I totally forgot about that This Is the End expansion. That was a real doozy. "Fuck you, we'll just go back into 2000 theaters!" Bless Sony.
  10. Spectre was just 730k away from 200m when it had a comparable weekend (170k from 217 theaters vs SP's 185k in 230 theaters). Doing an expansion is nice, but it's still gonna have to make at least $1m over the weekend to make sure it'll crawl to 100. Well, either way it'll be fun to watch.
  11. 1. La La Land 2. Paterson 3. Silence 4. Rogue One 5. Jackie 6. 20th Century Women Not that I'm actually gonna see any of those aside from RO in December 'cause no doubt they'll all get pushed back.

  13. If 100m hadn't been absolutely, positively dead for Sausage Party before, it is now. And so it is for Mag7. It'd be pretty hilarious if the latter kept dropping off faster than expected and ultimately finished under Don't Breathe (which is looking at a 89-91m finish).
  14. Shit, I'm gonna fly all the way from Russia to each one of those.
  15. Last October had The Martian which alone was more exciting than all of this October's releases look combined.
  16. You're welcome! Glad to hear you dug it. And the original ending definitely works best in this case.
  17. Does this mean Mag7 without Haley Bennett would be the worst-reviewed movie of the year?
  18. 1. Only Angels Have Wings 2. Modern Times 3. Design for Living 4. Top Hat 5. Libeled Lady 6. Ninotchka 7. It Happened One Night 8. The Adventures of Robin Hood 9. M 10. My Man Godfrey
