  1. Starts with 10/10 over at RT. Great news. I want to see a record shattering March.
  2. With around 3,5m on Thursday, it could very well do $25m over the weekend.
  3. http://deadline.com/2017/02/get-out-collide-rock-dog-lego-batman-fifty-shades-darker-box-office-1201964096/ Yep, 30m seems to be happening.
  4. Will Ferell movies never worked in Germany, so it's no surprise, that the humor didn't work out too well. I actually hated the Lego Movie.
  5. Yep, it's now just barely over. Mission completed. http://www.jpbox-office.com/fichfilm.php?id=15601&view=2
  6. Wow, that was some serious case of overestimating. It never looked that big from the start, but I somehow got carried away by all the high predictions. But if you look closer, Lego Batman did not reach the trailerclicks of Lego and also was behind at Flixter. And most of all, it lacked Will Ferell.
  7. $17-20m for Lego and 50SOG 24m+ Weekend for JW2. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/weekend-box-office-fifty-shades-darker-whips-up-58m-thursday-night-974139
  8. Movies targeting african-americans usually do much better on Facebook than on Youtube. Madea had pretty poor clicks via YT but did massive numbers on FB and broke out. Also, the topic of the movie is just very current, with all the headlines concerning violence against african-americans and the gap between black and white getting bigger and bigger again. This should do very well and looking at the number of 1-pointers at IMDB, white racists won't like the movie at all. But that's good. Because it will give the movie even more attention.
  9. It has to be seen, if this ends up as another Crimson Peak. Looks like Arthouse-Horror and might, just as crimson peak, not get the minstream-crowds. Also, the running time of nearly 2 1/2 hours might be an issue. But Shutter Island somehow did it, too, so it really has a good chance to at least outgross Crimson Peak.
  10. Also, I don't understand why they opened a new FB Account for the movie. They have an Account with 2m Fans of The Lego Movie they could advertise this movie to, instead they abandon that one to only reach around 250k at the moment.
  11. The only thing confusing me, is the lower want to see-votes and the lower Trailer-Clicks compared to "The Lego Movie". I was expecting it the other way round, als the first one kind of came in as a surprise 3 years ago. Maybe it's Will Ferrell missing. He's still one of the biggest comedians.
  12. I just had a look. Blair Witch was at 8.3m a week from Release. So Rings indeed has bigger numbers, even though it's not even clickable anymore.
  13. Thanks, I KNEW there was a trailer with bigger views. Seems like Paramount took it off after they decided to push it and it got bad reception?
  14. The first trailer is a complete mess. It starts out as The Martian and ends in a Teenie Rom Com. The second one was much better, but it seems like they gave up on this movie. Sad, as it looks quite charming, if you ignore the fact, that the relationship between the 14 year-old-looking Butterfield and a grown woman like Robertson feels kind of awkward.
  15. But you're still right for YT-Clicks. Rings leads on FB, though.
  16. Rings has bigger Trailer Views, bigger Social Media Numbers and, most important, is rated PG 13. Blair Witch had hype? It had a couple of good early reviews, but it never showed up anywhere else.
  17. Feels a lot like the new Turtles Movie in terms of Buzz and surfing under the radar. I think this has great trailers and great buzz and works as perfect counter to BATB. I think it might hit $175m.
  18. I wish people would care about every living individual. This topic is not about animals, it's about utilizing a situation for everyones own goals.
  19. The other side of the story (Which PETA already responded to by opening Round 2): http://deadline.com/2017/01/a-dogs-purpose-birds-and-animals-unlimited-statement-as-tracking-stalls-1201892568/ Seems like PETA is trying to shut down that company and used this movie to get a bigger voice.
  20. Could this actually do well with Alec Baldwin and...well, Americas new President as the main character? Trailer views are crazy.
  21. $16,5m on Saturday for Split, that's insane. And they didn't even have to go for a ridiculous sunday, to get it over 40m.
