  1. You guys are killing me with these reacts! Fortunately I may be seeing it tomorrow! We'll see.....depends on if things go according to plan.
  2. My local is dropping Last Christmas before this on Friday so I guess....that says something? I know LC came out the week before but given how low CA debuted to, and given the subject matter of LC, you'd think LC would outlive CA.
  3. Folks in my circles of family and friends are all gearing up for this. Everyone and their children, grandparents, friends etc. are all going this weekend (Being in Canada there's nothing special about next week so everyone north of the 49th is likely seeing it this weekend rather than spread out throughout the weekend and next week). One family I know is even dragging the babysitter along!
  4. 113 reviews in and it sits at 96% on RT. Looks like we may have another crowd pleaser! https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/a_beautiful_day_in_the_neighborhood/
  5. Ugh, I hope not. I'm ready for movies outside the obvious ones to actually SURPRISE and not disappoint.
  6. Absolutely bonkers! If the OW is closer to $180M, what do you guys think about the 2nd weekend (3-day)? if the O/U is $90M?
  7. That would have been absolutely disgraceful.
  8. WB should just release this thing OR announce officially that they are not releasing it. Either way, just end it already.
  9. Geez.... Frozen II and Knives Out can't come soon enough. It's sad far into November FvF is the only movie that did above $10M this weekend.
  10. I feel like this will unfortunately be completely buried over Thanksgiving by crowd pleasers: Frozen II, Ford v Ferrari, A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood and Knives Out.
  11. Aren't most people over this though? I think this is totally an online phenomenon.
  12. For what it's worth, @keysersoze123 has upped his stance to $150M plus on OW. I know some folks were speculating about an Incredibles 2-like OW but you have to remember - and this has been discussed in the tracking thread - that with Thanksgiving week right after this weekend a lot of people aren't necessarily buying their tickets for opening weekend. A lot of families are content to see it Wednesday/Thursday or the following weekend. Looking at it this way, for this to still do $150M+ on OW would be pretty freaking telling! If it was a normal weekend then you're looking at an OW close to $200M I'd bet.
  13. If Knives Out breaks out big, which I expect it will, do you guys think there's room for this to surprise as well? After such a mediocre to awful first half of November, I'd be pretty damn happy with the obvious box office explosion of Frozen II + two other surprise hits. Would make for a great US Thanksgiving for us here.
  14. I don't think this one ever had a prayer of winning the counterprogramming battle. With all due respect to these guys, this movie is relying on the Russos' and Boseman's names to sell it because the concept is pretty basic. I say that as someone who thinks it looks pretty good and wants to see it. I'd like to support the Russos in particular by paying for tickets to their other projects (I know they're only producing).
  15. Hoo boy, did I ever overestimate this. I had it doing just under $10M for the weekend. Not going to happen after an estimated $1.635M Friday. Has anyone here seen it yet?
  16. Lol, the irony. I bet now Banks is wishing her name WASN'T plastered everywhere. Too bad, Elizabeth. Now we're all very well aware that this is YOUR movie through and through.
  17. Ugh. Envious of everyone who has seen it already. Have a busy weekend so I can't see it until sometime this coming week. The audience reception has me even more excited!
  18. I know....brutal. It looked fine to me. Then again, I was also intrigued by the New Mutants teaser too. What do I know?
  19. I second this! Shout out to @keysersoze123 as well as all the other trackers in this thread for all their hard work! Just outstanding stuff that we're spoiled to have here....for free.
  20. This thread is incredibly depressing. This isn't directed at any of you - the conversation is valid and incredibly informative - but the sentiment is depressing as someone whose favourite pastime is going to the theatre.
  21. Yeah, knowing me I'll eat this right up. Hopefully it indeed is another The Revenant at the box office!
