  1. That's pretty much exactly the range I have, except I have it narrowed down to 32-33. I'm not seeing the $40M others are seeing.
  2. Exactly, and studios need to move on as well. I love a good pure action movie; just make NEW ones.
  3. Yeah I've got to do that too. Probably will put it on Thursday night (November 7). Definitely going to see this opening day! Looking forward to getting your thoughts later.
  4. Yeah I just saw that. Good news! I hope it has a good, leggy run.
  5. Agreed. Pretty much nobody knows this movie exists. Animated films seem to always be in the public consciousness, even if they're not from Disney. This? This is being dumped randomly with zero fanfare or studio support. Random really is the word I'd use to describe this movie. Like, what is it and where did it come from? Lol.
  6. Showing in 4,086 theatres this weekend. I'm thinking between $32M and $33M for the opening weekend.
  7. Loads of interest in this one within my own social and family circles. It's too bad it's not getting more attention. @ViewerAnon did you ever see this? What happened to this one? Is it another The Birth of a Nation in that it's a historical epic that just isn't that good? Yes I'm aware of the other reasons people shit on TBoaN, before anyone @'s me.
  8. Why is this poised to do so mediocre at the box office though???
  9. I hear ya. I'm interested in both. Unfortunately these are the two my local isn't showing.
  10. One thing I notice about The Numbers is how quickly they get the numbers out. I'm impressed.
  11. Have to admit, this didn't do TOO badly. Had an opening of $2.63M with a PTA of $2,577. I know I'm setting the bar REALLY low here but I honestly thought this would have a disastrous debut of under $1M or something. That seems like a small difference, but around a $1,000 PTA is a lot different than over $2,500.
  12. So this is primed to go wide next weekend, right? It's already showing in 586 theatres and raked in a little over $3M this weekend ($5,171 PTA). I'm thinking we'll see it expand to between 800 and 900 theatres on November 1.
  13. That's actually another one I'm interested in. Just a chance to see Sir Ian McKellan and Hellen Mirren work is enough for me.
  14. Embarrassing haha! I mean, it's clear these shows are made for young teenagers and I don't know how much they care about this stuff. All they care about is smoking hot actors and actresses and juicy relationship drama. That's why I tuned out of Arrow after awhile, because it was going that route.
  15. Wow. it went even higher with actuals! Oh so close to Maleficent but no cigar. Great holds for both though.
  16. True. I'm guessing WB isn't too worried. Still, it's just odd to see. I guess I thought this movie would be a bit of a bigger deal, but it's looking like it's really not, and that it's just plain bad. I still want to catch it though. I'm curious about this one.
  17. Wow. Just wow. Words cannot express how much I hate those DC CW shows.
  18. Another surprisingly quality (by the looks of it anyway) horror movie dropping on the first weekend of January to kick the new year off. I'm loving this tradition. The last one I passed on was Underworld: Blood Wars in 2017. Yeah, I had no need for that, but Insidious: The Last Key (January 5, 2018) and Escape Room (January 4, 2019) were great and I'm sure this will be no different. Can I also just say that I love Lin Shaye? She's great!
  19. Yeah I should have learned my lesson by now with these horrors, especially on opening weekend. The audience demographics are....annoying, to put it mildly.
  20. What did you think @IronJimbo?? I'm sure you were first in line to see this bad boy!
