I mentioned it before, looking at the circumstances, this is an amazing number for Fast 6. I'm pretty sure it will end up having a smaller screen count than Fast 5 in the end or at least it's having smaller capacities, as it has to share bigger theaters with Hangover and Star Trek.

Quite disappointed, that epic fell like this from 12m original estimate.

And STID is having a great hold here.

Good point. There are indeed more big movies playing now than when FF5 opened.

So we can bet FF6 has (much) better PSA than FF5.

Ain't Niki's more recent? At least they got posted here later.

Nikki's most recent numbers are from 2:30 AM EST (look at the article timestamp)

Rth's post is from 5:41 AM EST

RTH probably rounded up. It'll end up with 9.6m or something.

Rth doesn't round up by several hundred thousand dollars. If the numbers were around 9.6-9.7 he would say that.

1. Fast & Furious 6 (Universal) NEW [Runs 3,658] PG13Friday $36.0M, Weekend $89.5M, 4-Day Holiday $110.0M, Cume $114.8M

So... The extra $4.8M for Furious 6? With Thursday's early screenings is it actually at $40.8M OD? Appears similar to Trek's $2.0M estimate for Wednesday last week followed by an $11.5M actual Thursday and $13.5M heading into Friday. If so for Furious 6, it's number's somewhat more impressive than people seem to realize... Not to mention, including the $4.8M from Thursday previews, it did muster the $40M+ OD many hoped for as well.

I didn't know they separated the 10pm screenings. Interesting.
