Jake Gittes
STID, IM3 and Gatsby dropping close to 60% is freaking terrible. I mean, the post-MD weekend has never been very kind to earlier May holdovers, but even movies like OST, Thor, Fast Five, IM2, Wolverine, SM3, Da Vinci Code, ROTS all managed to hold in the 45-55% range, sometimes against much stronger openers. This almost feels like the post-Thanksgiving weekend in comparison. Things better recover next weekend.

baumer
Pretty big drops for holdovers and that NYSM number is great. Take away the 1.5 mill from Thurs and that is about a 30% increase. very nice!
Jay Beezy
Well this weekend blows aside from Now You See Me now being a sleeper hit.
baumer
Now if NYSM can get a nice multiplier, it has a chance at 100 mill, and that would be the shocker of the summer.
Olive
Exhibitor Relations @ERCboxoffice1m F&F6 downshifted -65% w/ $34.5M, but still had enough fuel in the tank to finish #1 for the 2nd straight weekend.
Olive
Exhibitor Relations @ERCboxoffice1m The Wolfpack was whacked in weekend #2, as HANGOVER III fell -62% w/ $15.9M. Total is now $88M.
baumer
Sizable drops for FF6 and H3. The thing about FF6 though is that it just goes to show how massively anticipated it was. People could not wait to see it. It'll still fly past 200 and reach about 220-230, which is right about where most of us predicted it would be.
